In the 12th inning of a1999 game, Mets manager Bobby Valentine was ejected after arguing a catcher’s interference call, but he apparently couldn’t stay away. Donning fake glasses and mustache, Valentine returned to the Mets dugout to watch the remainder of the game. The move cost Valentine a 2-game suspension and a $5,000 fine, but Dodger’s manager Tommy Lasorda seemed sympathetic when recounting a similar escapade of his own.
